‘Sleep well’ again with some help from Ragdale Hall Spa

‘Sleep well’ again with some help from Ragdale Hall Spa

With the levels of anxiety and stress in our lives at the moment, it’s no surprise many of us are struggling to get a good night’s sleep. If your spa plans have been delayed, we can still help you to rest and recharge by following these simple tips.

At Ragdale Hall, we are dedicated to your wellness, and for those who are struggling to fall asleep, or perhaps waking in the night with worries on your mind, we’ve shared some bedtime rituals to help you drift off into the land of nod.

Don’t underestimate the importance of a good bedtime ritual to help prepare you mentally and physically to drift off to sleep. It’s important to establish a strong, healthy bedtime routine and stick to it. Turn your bedroom into a sanctuary and make use of all your senses. Lavender is a great plant to have in your bedroom, as the smell has become renowned for aiding relaxation. Having been proven to lower our heart rate and stress levels, this plant will be your best friend – or why not invest in a lavender pillow spray for added ‘zzzzz’s. Or why not try a Ragdale Hall Reed Diffuser, for an added bit of Ragdale at home.

If you can’t get to us, create a ‘spa at home’ – this doesn’t need to be anything too extravagant. Before bed, run a bath and enjoy a nice warm soak with a few drops of calming essential oils- lavender or valerian root are a great choice. The warm bath water can help change your body’s core temperature, so that you go to bed with a lower temperature – this drop in temperature helps signal to the body that it’s time to sleep. To fully embrace your at home spa experience, we suggest a dressing gown and mules!

If you’re in serious need of some pampering, then why not join us on our ‘Serene Sleep’ break. With dates just added for 2021 (Thursday 4th March – Saturday 6th March 2021), this is the ideal retreat to help you improve the quality of your sleep, whilst indulging in some much needed ‘me time’. Through a variety of workshops and sessions, including Guided Meditation, Deep Relaxation Yoga, Yoga with Sound Bathing Meditation and Tranquil Tai Chi, plus two evening workshops which will cover useful sleep habits to adopt when home, hypnotherapy techniques and nutritional guidance, our team of in-house experts will take you on a journey of deep relaxation, to soothe the mind, body and soul and ultimately help you achieve a better night’s sleep.
