Mindful Martial Arts Break

Thursday 17th – Saturday 19th June 2021

New for 2021 is the ancient martial art of Tai Chi, which offers the ultimate antidote to the vagaries of life in the 21st century, allowing you to refocus your mind and restore your body. Featuring unique classes this is the perfect opportunity to disconnect from your daily routine and enjoy the many health benefits that can be derived from meditation in motion.

Real Life Yoga Breaks

Friday 5th- Sunday 7th February 2021- Yoga for Un-bendy Beginners

Thursday 2nd – Saturday 4th September 2021 – Building on the Basics

Whether you’re a total beginner or you’ve perfected your Vinyasa, join Meg Jackson, founder of Real-Life Yoga to discover the positive benefits this ancient way-of-living can have for our crazy, modern lives. Together you’ll learn poses and practices to help you feel all kinds of brilliant, and equip you with tools and knowledge so that you can feel confident continuing your yoga journey at home or in a class. You could use the practice to find what is at your core, discovering how to relieve the weight of the world from your shoulders, or getting grounded against the twists and turns of real life. But following the flow doesn’t only happen when we move our bodies; it also happens when we try to still our minds too, so an important part of these breaks will be balancing the urge to move with our need to be still.

Mindful Pilates Break

Thursday 1st – Saturday 3rd July 2021

We welcome you to join a small select group for a two-night Mindful Pilates Break at Ragdale Hall Spa, led by experienced teacher and practitioner, Nicola Bowen-Jones. Strengthen and tone your whole body as you relax and recharge in glorious countryside surroundings.

Pilates not only helps to release tension- particularly in the neck and shoulders, but it also comes with an abundance of mental wellbeing benefits including relaxation and stress relief- which will be explored in depth on this unique Mindful Pilates break. It is also suitable for those recovering from back problems to runners, exercise enthusiasts or dancers keen to benefit from increased mobility, flexibility and stability.

Nicola has been teaching Pilates for over 17 years; has trained with many different Pilates organisations and has developed her own style of Wellbeing Pilates which is a fusion of functional, modern and spine safe Pilates movements including elements of stretch, relax and restore.
