Spring Clean Your Skin with Decleor

You always remember to adjust your wardrobe for spring, but what about your skincare products?

With the changing of seasons and the warmer weather just around the corner, now is a great time to review your skincare routine.

To help you, our Decleor experts here at Ragdale have shared a few tips on the best way to spring clean your skin:

Exfoliate Regularly
Exfoliating once or twice a week will not only remove the build-up of dead skin but also deeply cleanse, reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, brighten, smooth and allow other products to penetrate deeper into the skin. Did you know by not exfoliating your skin regularly you can be wasting up to 30% of your products!

Use an SPF Daily
Using an SPF is important all year round and whilst we appreciate every bit of sun we can get- especially after the cold, dark winter months- it is even more important to use an SPF in the spring and summer to protect from sun damage as this is one of the biggest causes of ageing.

Change your Moisturiser for a Lighter one if Necessary
Often people use a richer moisturiser in the winter as they find their skin is much more dry and dehydrated; therefore coming into spring it is a good idea to switch back to a lighter moisturiser as our skin usually finds it easier to retain hydration this time of year.

Dare to Bare
This time of year is a great time to be barefaced and avoid applying heavy make- up. It will allow your skin to breathe leaving a bright, healthy complexion. Wearing heavy make- up in the spring and summer is more likely to block your pores, which can result in break outs.

Double Cleanse
As the warmer weather approaches, you will naturally have more dirt and oil on the surface of your skin. Double cleansing at the end of every day will leave your skin squeaky clean as it will remove all traces of make-up, as well as dirt and oil.
