Ragdale Hall Spa unveils stunning range of products based on a work-of-art by UK artist, Lucy Loveheart

A new work by internationally renowned artist, Lucy Loveheart was unveiled at Ragdale Hall Spa in Leicestershire on Thursday.

The Norfolk-based painter was commissioned by the award-winning Spa to paint a picture of Ragdale Hall which captured the magic and beauty of the English country house, the spa’s standout features and the guest experience.

By playing around with perspective, Lucy was able to bring the Ragdale Hall spa experience to life. Not only does the painting capture Ragdale Hall’s beautiful countryside setting, but its newly opened Rooftop Infinity Pool and ‘floating’ Candle Pool with guests enjoying pampering treatments, sumptuous food and relaxing in robes.

Ragdale Hall Head Buyer, Debbie Lindfield, said: “For our loyal Ragdale fans, and those new to ‘our family’, we wanted to commission a painting that truly captured the essence of Ragdale Hall and give our guests an opportunity to take a memento of their stay home with them.

“When we saw Lucy’s work, we knew instantly that a collaboration would be the perfect fit. Ragdale Hall Spa is an experience, and Lucy has captured this wonderfully. Every time you look at the painting, you discover something new – you truly get a sense of the magic of Ragdale Hall, and all there is to see and do when staying with us.”

The watercolour and collage one-of-a-kind original painting uses a mixture of glitters, gold relief and mixed media on handmade Indian ‘Khadi’ paper.

Lucy Loveheart said: “I was truly honoured to be invited to create a painting capturing the magic of Ragdale Hall Spa. From the moment I entered the spa I was completely blown away by the setting, the facilities and the friendliness of the staff. Every aspect of the spa is enchanting and a delight to experience.

“In my painting I have tried to show the elements that make the spa so unique and special from the Candle Pool to the wondrous Rooftop Infinity Pool with its amazing views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. To me Ragdale is a little slice of heaven on earth”.

Lucy trained for six years, first at Ipswich and Norwich Schools of Art and then at the Royal College of Art in London. She draws inspiration from childhood memories, the world of make believe, magic, daydreams and her love of nature. Her other collaborations include Chatsworth House, Blenheim Palace, Kew Gardens, the RHS and Chelsea Flower Show.

Lucy’s artwork has inspired the items in a new collection now on sale in Ragdale Hall Spa’s Gift Shop and their online shop, which includes; a greetings card, hanging decorations, memo block, notebook, tea towel, A3 hand-finished mounted print and limited edition (1 of 150) hand-finished print (70.5cm x 53cm) with optional personalised dedication from Lucy Loveheart herself (online exclusive). Prices start from £3.95.
