How to look more beauty than beast this party season
As the festive season creeps closer, it ushers in a whirlwind of parties, prosecco and pantomimes.
But to help you look more beauty than beast and more Cinderella than ugly sister during the hectic Christmas period, a great deal of preparation is required.
We better get started …
Fit into that little black dress
Admittedly, the run up to Christmas is hardly the ideal time to slim down. Considering the sheer amount of temptations glistening at every turn, all designed to make tight fitting clothes an enemy for life, it can take a considerable amount of willpower and hard work to fit into your favourite party dress.
If you can afford it, hire a personal trainer; if you can’t, simply get your bum down to the gym (it’s too cold for a lady to run around outside) and start working up a sweat. As they say, there’s no gain without pain, which means you should be prepared for jelly legs and aching muscles in the quest to squeeze into that dress.
Treat yourself to a spa day
As you know, the winter weather can play havoc with your skin, with chapped lips and hands a real sign that Jack Frost is taking a bite. To counteract this, why not spend some time here at Ragdale Hall where we can offer you a warming slice of winter luxury?
Be body beautiful with this winter’s must-have treatments which will exfoliate and nourish your skin by removing dead, dry and damaged skin cells. This helps your skin become stronger and prolongs your summer glow – and that’s before you’ve even looked at a glass of wine.
Take care of your skin at home
To keep your skin in tiptop condition, it’s important to invest in a face scrub you can use at home to wash away all those dead cells that tend to dull your complexion. Additionally, ensure your moisturiser is up to the job of actually keeping your skin hydrated – if not, it may be time to switch.
Also, be sure to use a moisturising shower wash (and rub in lotion or cream afterwards), so that the legs you’ve worked so hard to show off don’t suffer from that dreaded dryness.
If you would like to give your mind and body an MOT at Ragdale Hall before the Christmas party season starts swinging, drop us a line – we’d be pleased to hear from you.
