With the festive season in full swing, many of us will be attending parties all over the place, and Ragdale's experts would like to lend a hand by giving you some fantastic tips on how to achieve perfect festive makeup, hair and nails.

Perfect Your Party Makeup

  • The night before your 'do', exfoliate and put a mask on. This will give you that flawless look when applying makeup.
  • Eyebrows frame the face – and if correctly shaped, they'll lift the eye area and instantly make you look younger. Book in for a HD brow treatment to get a well-defined eyebrow line and a personalised finish.
  • Use an eyebrow pencil or powder to add definition. Firstly, apply against the hair growth to get underneath the hairs and then apply with the hair growth to finish the look.
  • Roll pressed or loose powder over foundation/tinted moisturiser, this will keep your makeup fresh all evening.
  • Work by this rule: dramatic eyes = nude lips and vice versa. This keeps the emphasis on the area you want to focus on.
  • Remember to take off your makeup before your go to bed – you'll be thankful in the morning not waking up with panda eyes.
  • Use bronzer to highlight cheekbones, shimmer to catch the light and a touch of blusher on the apples of the cheeks for a glow.

Party Nails

  • CND Shellac treatments are great for parties, as your nails are instantly dry and last for up to 10 days – great for last minute party plans.
  • Don't worry if your nails aren't very long, dark colours look great on short blunt nails it gives them an edge.
  • Add a bit of glitz, whether it's a glittery topcoat or glitter in your polish, turn your nails into an accessory.
  • If you're not a regular polish user, keep hands more natural and go darker on the toes.
