Dance yourself fit with Dancercise

Dancercise blog main picIt’s not often you get asked to bring a pair of stilettos with you to a fitness break at a health spa, but then we do like to do things a bit differently here at Ragdale.

Intrigued? They are in fact deemed to be an essential (well, almost essential) piece of ‘appropriate attire’ for the Dancercise break later this month, which incorporates some classic dance routines – with a Ragdale twist of course –  into a three-day event.

Guests on the break can look forward to sessions themed around Riverdance, 70s disco and ballroom, bringing a mixture of glamour and glitter to our exercise studios. Participants on the ‘stiletto workout’ are also encouraged to bring a feather boa, so we’ll be making sure we’re in the vicinity get a few photos for our Facebook posts and  tweets (we’re hoping we find more Caroline Flacks than Gregg Wallaces).

It’s the first of our Dancercise breaks of 2015 and is fully-booked, but there are still places available on our November package – we can reassure you the break also includes use of all the facilities here at Ragdale, the usual delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner options, and a relaxing 40-minute treatment.

Still need convincing? Good Housekeeping magazine featured the break in its ‘Secrets of the world’s best spas’ article in the January 2015 issue, and comments from guests on last year’s Dancercise sessions included: ‘Good, light-hearted and suitable for all levels’, ‘Instructors top class’ and ‘We loved all aspects of the package – dance classes, treatments, exceptional food, wonderful staff.
