For National Spa Week we’re exploring some of Ragdale’s wellbeing benefits

This week is National Spa Week, which is led by the UK Spa Association and aims to raise awareness of the benefits of spas.

At Ragdale, we encourage you to leave everyday life behind the moment you step through our door, and you’ll leave feeling relaxed, revived, and ready to take on your world once again. But what are the benefits of being a regular spa-goer? Our blog takes a closer look…

Scented Room in the Thermal Spa

Heal in The Thermal Spa

Spending time in our Thermal spa can accelerate the healing process by enhancing circulation, so if you’ve overdone a workout or are feeling a bit more achy than usual, opt for Ragdale’s Rose Sauna, Colourflow Cave or Volcanic Salt Room. This enhanced circulation means that your body can burn through calories at a faster rate, which can improve your metabolism.

Working up a sweat can also flush out some impurities from the body, which can be incredibly beneficial for our skin– giving it a clear, healthy glow.

If that wasn’t enough, spending time in the Thermal Spa can also come with a host of mental relaxation benefits. Ragdale’s Thermal Spa is closely linked to the four elements; air, water, fire and earth, offering a way to reconnect with nature, relieve tension and helping you to de-stress.

Feel pampered

From massages to facials or even a wellness treatment, you’ll feel rejuvenated both physically and mentally. Massage comes with many benefits including releasing stored tension in the muscles, improved circulation, and may even help to give you a better night’s sleep and boost your immunity. If you’re looking to heal your mind and restore a positive flow of energy, then a wellness treatment such as Reiki may help to rebalance you.

Lighten the load

Ragdale is very relaxed and informal; roam in white fluffy robes around the spa, or take a stroll through the glorious countryside surroundings and embrace a slower pace of life. Rest your eyes and snuggle under a blanket in one of our eight relaxation rooms. We give you the space to breathe, so you can start to feel like yourself again.

Reconnect with yourself and loved ones

Whether it’s catching up with friends and loved ones over a cocktail in the Twilight Bar, or taking part in an exercise class in the Heart + Soul Fitness Studios to get those endorphins flowing, you’ll be able to make up for lost time and make memories which will last a lifetime.
