Summer time spa breaks
Summer 2014 is already tipped to be one of the hottest on record, however we all know how unpredictable the British weather can be, so let’s just hope they’re right!
The summer sunshine brings some great opportunities for you to explore, relax and revive your senses in the great outdoors here at Ragdale Hall.
With an expanse of perfectly manicured front lawn that includes deckchairs, swing seats and a summer house, you’re sure to find a spot in the sunshine to call your own. In our beautifully landscaped WaterGarden at the rear of the Hall, you will find an array of lush planting and a rainbow of beautiful foliage and flowers to sit and admire whilst the day goes by.
Grab yourself a coffee from the Garden Room or a smoothie from the Verandah Bar and sit and savour your beverage whilst breathing in the fresh air.
If you’re feeling really lazy, have a snooze in the sunshine on our Pavillion decking and feel the sun beating down on your face.
And of course, not forgetting our outdoor pool which is open from early May!
For those who wish to be a little more active, why not try your hand at a game of Croquet, Boules or Pitch ‘n’ Putt, it’s great fun and a fantastic way to take part in a little healthy competition. You may also book an Archery session with our Treatments and Activities Department – a great way to try something new.
For the budding Andy Murray’s amongst you, our championship standard, all-weather tennis courts (which were resurfaced last year) will allow you to perfect your serve and get in the Wimbledon spirit. One-to-one and shared Tennis Coaching sessions are available.
For those wanting to explore a little further a field, the beautiful rolling Leicestershire countryside that surrounds the Hall has plenty to offer. You are free to borrow one of our cycles and a helmet and the Fitness Team will provide you with a cycle route. Ask the Fitness Team about the various public footpaths you can follow and take yourself off for a leisurely stroll or a brisk hike, or join our daily escorted walks – the choice is yours!
England in the summer is a glorious place to be, we love it so much we’ve even dedicated a whole week to this idyllic time of year. We’ll be holding seminars, classes and events such as ‘How to achieve the perfect English rose complexion’ and ‘Chef’s secrets to seasonal produce’ during our special Celebration of England week – find out more details here.
Whatever the weather, spas are a great way to have some relaxing quality me-time, whether you are indoors or outdoors and with our Soothing Summer Break, Summer Getaway Weekend Offer, World Cup Escape and Mother and Daughter Break, who needs to go abroad?
