Founder Robert Czik grew up in Hungary, where his mother would take him to bathe in natural products such as mineral salt lakes to calm his troubled skin, including concerns like eczema and psoriasis. These mineral rich waters brought relief when little else would, creating moments of comfort, care and connection to nature. Those early experiences planted the seed for a lifelong passion: to understand the therapeutic power of minerals and harness them in gentle, effective skincare for sensitive and reactive skin.

When Robert moved to England in his early twenties, he brought this passion with him. In 1981, he introduced Dead Sea minerals to the UK for the first time, launching his pioneering formulations at Harrods. At a time when mineral bathing was largely reserved for overseas spa retreats, Robert’s vision was refreshingly simple – to make the benefits of mineral therapy accessible to everyone through a carefully developed range.
