Top UK trainer keeps our Fitness Team motivated!

Esmee Gummer who regularly works with our Health and Fitness Consultant, Dean Hodgkin, on projects outside the Hall – a fairly recent one being Jessica Wright’s (of TOWIE fame) Fi7ness Programme – recently spent some time at the Hall upskilling our fitness team.

Esmee’s story is an inspirational one: shortly after being awarded a scholarship at a top Dance School, a routine operation left her facing never being able to walk again, however Esmee defied all odds and is now a personal trainer at London gym 1Rebel, and is one of the best educators within the fitness industry.

During Esmee’s visit we popped over to see how the team were getting on and this is how it looked…

Esmee really put the team through their paces and looking from the outside in, there was only one word to describe this class – hardcore!  The energy in the studio was insane and despite the sweat and tears (mainly coming from James, Dean and Chris #girlpower) the team took so much inspiration from Esmee herself, and from the techniques they were taught during the session.

This is what they had to say…

Rosie – “Training is always so valuable, but this felt especially useful as it related to how we are as individual trainers.

“The training helped me to focus on what my main goal and style is as an instructor and what I want to bring to my classes, regardless of how others instruct, we are all different and that is great.

“It was good to experience exactly what our guests and members feel during a class.  Being put in their shoes taught me how to effectively motivate and educate them in the future.”

Chrissy – “I was totally touched by Esmee’s story and how she came to be the person she is today.  Really felt it hit home with me on a personal level.

“Our team feels so much closer – training together has helped us feel more connected and given us a massive boost.”

Nadine – “Esmee taught us about mind/body connection which has helped me understand why I do what I do during classes.  I will use and share this mind/body connection with guests and members in the future as it makes sense!

“I’ve already seen an improvement in motivation within myself and in my classes.”

Lauren – “The spin training was awesome, really good to experience what it’s like to be a participant in a class and has helped me to develop some fresh ideas!”

The key aim of these types of training sessions is so our instructors continuously enhance their knowledge and skills to ensure the classes and PT sessions delivered to our guests and members are of the highest standard.  As a business, we’re committed to their professional development so they can fulfil their role in helping you achieve your fitness goals.
