The transformed Tower Room

Ragdale’s Tower room has undergone a major refurbishment over the last few weeks and is reopening in perfect time for Christmas.

Our in-house team has been hard at work transforming Room 50, a Superior triple room, creating and fitting out a new bathroom, redecorating from top to bottom, and moving in the new furniture.

The biggest challenge for the team has been to get the new furniture, fixtures and fittings up into the room, which is accessed from a spiral staircase.  Some fairly drastic action was called for as the only way to bring in the new freestanding bathtub and bespoke furniture was by taking out the bedroom window (above).

Once likely to have been part of the staff accommodation in the days of the old Hall, this Superior triple room is now a beautiful haven of calm, featuring wallpaper by Osborne and Little in green, turquoise and silver with a stunning bird design, and Osborne and Little green and silver curtains (we love the pelmet detailing). The bespoke furniture is from Innovate in Kirkstall, Leeds.

The room’s crowning glory is the new bathroom which has been created by joining the two smaller rooms which previously housed the bath and washbasin,  and separate toilet. A freestanding Adamsez bath sits in front of a mosaic feature wall in tones which complement the bedroom’s wallpaper, with a handy niche for toiletries built into the wall.

A separate walk-in shower nestles in the corner of the bathroom, with not one – but two – hand basins, heated towel rails and illuminated vanity mirrors with magnifying mirror making this a delightful space to share!

And here’s a little reminder of how it looked before – we hope you agree it’s much improved!
