Runners raise money for Japan earthquake and tsunami victims
Ragdale Hall joins in with the Run for Japan, headed up by Michelle, one of Ragdale’s Fitness Instructor’s.
On Sunday 17th April a number of guests, country club members and staff took part in a 1 mile walk or run.
The runners congregated at the front of the Hall near the bell at 9am on a beautiful spring morning to put themselves through their paces for this very worthy cause.
As a reward for their hard work, the participants carried on with further fund raising in the way of a cake sale.
Run for Japan is a charity that has been designed to bring the nation together to assist a country that is in desperate need of help following the recent earthquake and tsunami.
Proceeds raised amounted to £200.
Michelle says “Everyone’s spirits were high to run for Japan on a sunny Sunday morning. The cake sale went down a storm – cupcakes in particular went down really well and sold out immediately!”
