New Executive Head Chef appointed at Ragdale Hall Spa

Award-winning Ragdale Hall Spa has appointed David Ellams as its new Executive Head Chef.

David has joined the Leicestershire-based spa from The Tamburlaine Hotel in Cambridge, where he was Executive Head Chef for two-years.

Previous to this, David led the training programme for catering and hospitality courses at Cambridge Regional College as Head of Programmes Catering, and over a career spanning 20-years held various positions across luxury hotels, AA Rosette and Michelin Star restaurants and large-scale banqueting operations.

David will now lead Ragdale Hall’s 25+ strong team to deliver an ever-evolving menu of high-end cuisine to spa diners – be it resident or day guests – for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 365 days a year.

On joining the team at Ragdale Hall David said: “I have worked in the catering and hospitality industry my entire career, leading operations in fine-dining multiple AA Rosette restaurants to bespoke projects and events – food is a real passion of mine.

“I’m looking forward to developing the food offering at Ragdale Hall by introducing new trends and creative, inclusive menu options. Listening to our guests’ needs is high on my agenda at the moment, and I’ll look to use this feedback to shape the future food offering at Ragdale.

“I have a great foundation to build upon and will also devote time to developing the established team of chefs and creating new opportunities.”
