Nicola Celebrates 20-Years at Ragdale!
This month, Senior Beauty Therapist Nicola celebrated her 20th work anniversary!
Nicola joined Ragdale Hall in July 1999. After finishing school, Nicola went on to study Beauty Therapy at college and on completion of her course, she secured a work experience placement at Ragdale.
Twenty years on, Nicola has developed into one of the most senior and experienced beauty therapists in the country, and what Nicola doesn’t know about treatments, probably isn’t worth knowing!
“I remember my work experience placement going by in a bit of a blur. Ragdale Hall had (and has!) a huge reputation within the industry, and securing the placement was a such a big deal for me at the time. I was privileged to be given the opportunity, and of course absolutely delighted when I was offered a position at the UK’s leading destination spa!
Nicola started her role delivering facials, massages, manicures, pedicures and body exfoliations to our guests, and while the treatment offering was similar to today, the treatment offering was not as extensive.
Today, Nicola is still very much actively involved in delivering treatments for our guests alongside working as a Beauty Supervisor, which involves helping run the beauty department day-to-day, and dealing with beauty therapist and guests requests.
Nicola can also be found working our Treatments Reception desk, helping organise guests’ schedules and treatments, and training others within the department in the art of Indian Head Massage.
On asking Nicola what truly stands out for her over her time at Ragdale, she said: “The past 20-years have been so memorable I couldn’t just choose one moment, but I do remember attending the Professional Beauty awards at Excel in London with the team and owners Michael Issacs and Penny Nesbitt – it was such a fantastic event, and we even came home with an award-win!”
“I have built some amazing memories with the people I work with, and it’s the friendships that I have with my colleagues that make each day as memorable as the last. As a team, we are all so close and my colleagues have become like my family – we’re always there for one another and I love that I get to spend time with them every day.
“Over the years I’ve also built some lovely friendships with our guests and Country Club members, who I often see year after year.
“My time at Ragdale Hall has been amazing, eventful, enjoyable and a great learning experience, and it’s been lovely to see Ragdale grow and develop over time, and to have been part of that journey.
“I love my job and where I work, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I’d encourage anyone interested in Beauty Therapy to come and join our team.”
Congratulations Nicola, from all of your colleagues, friends and guests at Ragdale!
