Jo Raisen 002xShe’s the most well known face at Ragdale Hall and at the end of August, Guest Liaison Manager, Jo Raisen celebrated 25 years service.

Jo studied Beauty Therapy at Mary Reid’s International Spa Academy in Edinburgh and came straight from college to work at Ragdale Hall.  Originally from Dunfermline in Fife, Jo came to live in Ragdale’s staff accommodation (now The Lodge) when she started her role as a Beauty Therapist.

Jo worked her way up the ranks and was promoted to Beauty Supervisor, however soon stood out for her caring diplomatic nature and was trained for the role of Duty Manager.

Anyone who knows Jo, will agree that she has a great passion for talking (which she no longer does in a Scottish accent, according to Jo). So when the Senior Management Team decided to develop the role of Guest Liaison into its own department, they had no doubts from the off that Jo would be the perfect candidate for the role.

Jo now manages a six strong team of Guest Liaison Officers, who are all equally as friendly and talkative as Jo – she’s clearly trained them well!

We get many guest comments that Ragdale has an extremely nice feeling of family – this feeling is mirrored for Jo as she has grown up with many of Ragdale’s regular guests. Jo says the best part of her job is catching up with these regular guests and discussing what’s happening in each other’s lives.

Jo is married with a seven year old daughter Charlotte and her parents moved from Dunfermline to Melton Mowbray a few years ago as clearly she is not going back!

Jo’s main goal in life is to leave Ragdale before she has to use a zimmer frame! We’re not sure we’ll let her go though – she’s too much like family!!
