As the season shifts and the air turns crisp, it’s a great time to bring autumn flavours into your drinks. At Ragdale, we love to follow the rhythm of the seasons, and our mixologist Jack from the Twilight Bar has shared a simple cocktail recipe that’s perfect for this time of year.
It’s easy to make at home and ideal for showing off your cocktail skills, or just enjoying a quiet evening in.
Here’s how to make your own Woodland Sour:
Ingredients:
- 37.5ml Monkey Shoulder Whisky
- 25ml Fresh lemon juice
- 12.5ml Pear liqueur
- 25ml Apple syrup
- 1 Egg white (or vegan foamer alternative)
Method:
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker without ice.
- Shake vigorously for 30 seconds to emulsify the egg white.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well chilled.
- Double strain into a rocks glass filled with ice cubes.
- Garnish with a few dashes of Angostura bitters.
If you recreate this drink, we’d love to see it, share your version with us on social @RagdaleHallSpa.
