COCKTAIL OF THE MONTH : WOODLAND SOUR

As the season shifts and the air turns crisp, it’s a great time to bring autumn flavours into your drinks. At Ragdale, we love to follow the rhythm of the seasons, and our mixologist Jack from the Twilight Bar has shared a simple cocktail recipe that’s perfect for this time of year.

It’s easy to make at home and ideal for showing off your cocktail skills, or just enjoying a quiet evening in.

 

Here’s how to make your own Woodland Sour:

Ingredients:

  • 37.5ml Monkey Shoulder Whisky
  • 25ml Fresh lemon juice
  • 12.5ml Pear liqueur
  • 25ml Apple syrup
  • 1 Egg white (or vegan foamer alternative)

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker without ice.
  2. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds to emulsify the egg white.
  3. Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well chilled.
  4. Double strain into a rocks glass filled with ice cubes.
  5. Garnish with a few dashes of Angostura bitters.
