Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Trends

Vanessa, Retail Manager for the Boutique at Ragdale Hall tells us the latest trends for the spring summer fashion 2013.

The reason for fashion??

How we look does impact the way we feel. It may be that we dress to our mood or to give us confidence within us. Or that we have no reason at all – just simply got to have a particular piece of clothing or accessory.

It’s not that we have to follow these trends, but they are all here to inspire us.  Do it your way, you choose, you adapt them to your own style and enjoy!

This season’s colours:

TRENDS

Stripes – Wide deckchair inspired look, whether horizontal, vertical, chevron or curved. Be bright and bold

Monochrome – Black & white- every combination, mix it and see. Squares and checkerboard prints. I like to call it the yin-yang of fashion. Bold, statement pieces are the key to pulling the look together. Break the tone up with muted shades. You can’t go wrong wearing black & white, (Classic).

Shades of Chic – Shots of orange, yellow, cool blue and aqua, pink and lilac. These sugary colours can be worked by wearing contrasting shades of the same colour together.

Super Graphics – Retro wallpaper, 3D illusions, bold colours and overload is here to stay.

Experiment with colour and texture for the ultimate mash up. Keep accessories to a minimum and let the print shine.
