A look back at the last decade at Ragdale Hall Spa

As 2019 comes to a close we look back on what has been a fantastic year, and an incredible decade filled with exciting developments, amazing achievements and heartwarming memories with our wonderful guests.

Here’s just a snapshot of some of our team’s much-loved milestone moments:

October 2012 saw the opening of the new ultra-swish Boutique, followed one month later by the opening of the oh-so-chilled Pavilion!

In 2013, we opened our Beauty Express – the first of its kind in any destination spa in the UK!

In April 2014, our Dining Room received a sparkling makeover.

In November 2014 we received the award for Best for Customer Service in the Good Spa Guide Awards!

December 2014 marked ten years of our Make It Happen initiative, with £100,000 raised for local charities

Ragdale Hall’s owners celebrate 25 years! Monday 15th June 2015 marked 25-years since Michael Isaacs and the late Garry Nesbitt purchased Ragdale Hall. A time of reflection, this called for huge celebrations around the Hall, with an anniversary display erected in the main Reception for the many of guests, members and staff who had been with us since the beginning and enjoyed watching the Hall grow into an award-winning health spa.

July 2015 – Beauty Shop redevelopment.An extension and redevelopment of our Beauty Shop saw the retail space increase by 60% with the team now able to offer lots of additional skincare workshops and treatment areas for guests to be pampered.

March 2016 – Verandah Bar extension unveiled. With the transformation came additional seating and an outdoor terrace, a whole suite of new furniture and fittings and a new and modern bar area and kitchen. Oh, and a range of tasty choices, with an extended evening menu featuring ‘gastro-pub’ inspiration.

November 2016 – we’re officially the UK’s Best Spa.Ragdale Hall is crowned the ‘UK’s best spa’ in the Spafinder Wellness Travel Awards, along with Best for Affordability/Budget and Best for Girlfriend Getaways.

November 2017 – we were crowned UK’s Best Destination Spa at the Good Spa Guide Awards!

December 2017 – Rooftop Infinity Pool and Lounge opens to the public.On a crisp winter’s morning in December, our Rooftop Infinity Pool opened to guests for the very first time….

In August 2018 Ragdale makes a commitment to reduce single-use-plastics by removing plastic cups in areas around the hall as part of their Green Vision initiative, and in October 2018 we were listed in The Sunday Times Best Places to Stay 2018.

January 2019 saw the launch of our brand-new website!

In April this year we revealed our wonderful new Verandah Lounge

August 2019 saw the unveiling of a brand-new work of art of Ragdale Hall Spa by internationally renowned artist, Lucy Loveheart, and a whole range of products.

In October this year, alongside making some upgrades to our changing facilities, we also gave our Gift Shop a little makeover!
