Looking back at the year that’s almost over, we feel it has been pretty successful.

It’s once again been a jam packed year for us with the usual special events, amazing new therapies developed by our experts, some exciting additions to the fitness timetable and lots of bedroom and public area refurbishments.

Back in April we were awarded Best Spa 2014 by Candis Magazine as well as being Highly Commended in the Best Hotel and Spa Experience Category in the Natural Health Magazine Awards. May was also a great month that saw us being recognised by two of the most authoritative organisations in the spa/travel industry. We were awarded a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor for the third year running and also maintained our 5 Bubble Status with the Good Spa Guide.

Ann BarnardAnd that wasn’t all….to round off 2014 on the awards front, we were voted Best for Customer Service in the Good Spa Guide Awards 2014 at a glitzy ceremony in November. One of our proudest achievements to date! Next time you join us, check out the beautiful glass bubble trophy in our awards cabinet at the front of the Hall.

We have also shared a number of amazing milestones with guests and staff alike in 2014. Ann Barnard from Shepshed, celebrated her 100th visit to Ragdale!! Now there’s loyalty for you! To say thank you to Ann, who visited for the day with her friends in October, we treated them all to a Champagne afternoon tea.

Ragdale Long Service 2014Four key members of the team celebrated 100 years service between them. Hugh, Wilson, Hotel Operations Director, Jo Raisen, Guest Liaison Managet, Debbie Lindfield, Head Boutique and Gift Shop Buyer and Judith Brittle of the Treatments Administration Team all celebrated 25 years of employment in 2014. Just think when they first started, the world wide web had just been invented and Ragdale Hall was about half the size it is now! Huge thank you to all of them, Ragdale Hall wouldn’t be what it is today without their input.

So, in a nutshell, that’s 2014! Let’s hope 2015 is just as good, if not better!
