An Introduction to Yoga Break 2019

If you’re interested in exploring yoga and how it can benefit you but have found all the different options a bit overwhelming, we’ve created the perfect two-night break to gently ease you into yoga practice… and who knows where the journey may take you.
Scientific studies have shown us that slowing down, looking inwards and being more mindful helps us to be better at work, rest and play. This may explain the explosion of yoga classes and studios offering a variety of themes. If you’re looking to dip your toe in the calming yoga waters, however, this immense choice can be rather daunting, so our break is designed for those new to yoga, to get you started on your own yoga journey.
We’ve created an enlightening and empowering break based around a key tenet within yoga practice: the Sun Salutation. While this sequence of 12 positions only became central to many styles and classes in the early 20th century, its origins are rooted in history. Giving thanks to the Sun was one of the belief systems held by the Pashupta sect right back in the 2nd century.
The Sun Salutation can remove bodily and mental tensions, improve circulation, stimulate the nervous system and loosen your joints. It can also improve mobility in your whole body and tone the muscles of your abdomen, pelvis and spine.
You will be part of a small group and will experience four unique classes geared to gently ease you into yoga practice and help you to take your first steps forward, all within the calming and relaxing surroundings for which Ragdale Hall is so well known.
This unique break will leave you feeling tighter, lighter and brighter, with a confidence to incorporate what you’ve learnt – not just about yoga, but also yourself – into your everyday life. This break will also equip you with the right knowledge and skills to possibly progress onto one of our Real Life Yoga breaks in the future.
The package includes:
- Check in from 2pm on Thursday ready for your first session at 6pm.
- A programme of specially designed yoga classes that are not normally available at Ragdale Hall (or elsewhere).
- The opportunity to join our many other classes on the regular timetable.
- An invite to specific evening entertainment activities.
- Accommodation, breakfast served to your room, three-course buffet lunch and dinner, and use of all the Hall’s facilities including the Thermal Spa, pools (including the new rooftop pool) and gym.

Ragdale Prescription Facial?Cleanses, tones and exfoliates the skin allowing for a short but relaxing massage and an application of a prescription mask. or Classic Manicure?Replenish your skin with essential moisture with this soothing hand treatment. This therapy helps to maintain the skin on the hands and cuticles, exfoliating, moisturising and conditioning to renew and revitalise. After a hand massage your treatment will be completed with your chosen award winning O.P.I. nail lacquer shade. PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to have a French Manicure or French Pedicure you should book the Luxury Manicure or Luxury Pedicure. French style polish is not available in the Classic treatments. To ensure maximum benefit from your hand and foot treatments, please remove polish prior to treatments. or Calming Back and Scalp Massage?A gentle but effective massage using Swedish-style movements to melt away muscle tension in the back, neck and scalp. A luxurious coconut butter is used to hydrate, nourish and condition your hair and scalp..

These rooms have restricted or no views. /The Lodge ?Ideal for a small group or individuals who seek a little seclusion. An attractive country cottage which houses four luxury twin bedded rooms and is situated 200 metres from the main entrance. |Luxury Room ?Similar to our Luxury Plus rooms but decorated differently, slightly smaller, although still spacious, with breakfast table and comfy chairs. Views in Luxury rooms vary.||£456|

You may wish to book an extra night on the Wednesday before the event for only £169 per person twin occupancy or £199 per person in a single room. A perfect way to start your Yoga Break, relaxed and raring to go! This includes dinner, breakfast, lunch and another 40-minute treatment from the choices above.
