Mindful Exercise Break 2019

Whilst we’re all well aware of the aesthetic results of exercise, a number of studies have documented that subjective wellbeing, the feel-good factor, is higher in regular exercisers. In fact, improved mood and a sense of positive emotions are the most commonly reported effects of exercise. In addition, self-esteem, generally accepted as the most valid single indicator of mental health, is encouragingly susceptible to upward shift as a result of getting sweaty.
It’s a proven fact that exercise encourages the growth of new brain cells which has been shown to improve brain function. In fact, Van Praag, a leader in this field, suggests that exercise could be the most potent of factors in new cell generation, particularly in the area of the brain responsible for learning and memory, so we have created a pioneering event that features unique classes to help you to benefit from the latest neuroscience.
Be one of the first to experience the positive energy that flows through our BRAINFIT workout, be challenged mentally and physically in CHAOS, find true balance in BEAM, take a mindful journey in SOULSPIN and learn to escape in DESTRESS YOGA. In addition, there will be two evening talks to help you to regain control from experienced life coach, Kate McReynolds. During these sessions, Kate will challenge your assumptions and help break down barriers that may have restrained you in the past. You will also learn why it’s important to build strong loving foundations within and put these learnings into practise.
Combining these sessions with the pampering relaxation for which the Ragdale Hall brand is synonymous provides the perfect environment for change.
The package includes:
- Check in from 2pm on Thursday ready for your first session at 3pm.
- A programme of specially designed classes that are not normally available at Ragdale Hall (or elsewhere).
- All meals, including menu options known to have a brain boosting effect
- The opportunity to join our many other classes on the regular timetable.
- Two evening talks from an experienced life coach, designed to help you challenge your assumptions and help break down barriers that may have restrained you in the past.

Ragdale Prescription Facial?Cleanses, tones and exfoliates the skin allowing for a short but relaxing massage and an application of a prescription mask. or Classic Manicure?Replenish your skin with essential moisture with this soothing hand treatment. This therapy helps to maintain the skin on the hands and cuticles, exfoliating, moisturising and conditioning to renew and revitalise. After a hand massage your treatment will be completed with your chosen award winning O.P.I. nail lacquer shade. PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to have a French Manicure or French Pedicure you should book the Luxury Manicure or Luxury Pedicure. French style polish is not available in the Classic treatments. To ensure maximum benefit from your hand and foot treatments, please remove polish prior to treatments. or Calming Back and Scalp Massage?A gentle but effective massage using Swedish-style movements to melt away muscle tension in the back, neck and scalp. A luxurious coconut butter is used to hydrate, nourish and condition your hair and scalp..
Accommodation, breakfast served to your room, three-course buffet lunch and dinner, and use of all the Hall’s facilities including the Thermal Spa, pools (and newly opened Rooftop Infinity Pool and Lounge) and gym.

|Standard Room ?Slightly larger than Economy Rooms with different decor and in a different location. These rooms have restricted or no views. /The Lodge ?Ideal for a small group or individuals who seek a little seclusion. An attractive country cottage which houses four luxury twin bedded rooms and is situated 200 metres from the main entrance. Each room is equipped with a mini bar and Lodge guests also have the pleasure of a small private garden.||£421|
|Superior Room ?Similar to our Superior Plus rooms but decorated differently, slightly smaller, although still spacious, with breakfast table and comfy chairs. Views in Superior rooms vary.||£456|
You may wish to book an extra night on the Wednesday before the event for only £169 per person twin occupancy or £199 per person in a single room. A perfect way to start your Mindful Exercise break, relaxed and raring to go! This includes dinner, breakfast, lunch and another 40-minute treatment from the choices above.
PLEASE NOTE: Classes for each event will be finalised nearer the event and a programme will be sent by email to all guests in approximately three weeks before the Mindful Exercise break.
