Perhaps because it’s so accessible, free of charge and just about anyone can do it, walking is often overlooked as a means to getting in shape. Surprisingly, however, there’s a wealth of scientific research out there to prove it really can be effective for improving your fitness level and helping to control your weight. In addition, regular walking has been shown to reduce risks of heart attack, stress, osteoporosis and even cancer. Quite a shopping list of health improvements that we’d all be happy with.

This unique event, led by Ragdale’s own award winning fitness expert and author, Dean Hodgkin, will guarantee to put the fun back into fitness. You will be introduced to varied group sessions that will see you pushing with poles in Nordic Walking and shaking silicone gel filled cylinders in XCO Walk. To move you closer to your aesthetic goals there’s the high calorie burning Weight Loss Walkout and the creative Walk’n’Tone that incorporates resistance bands to sculpt your upper body.
Making full use of your evenings, we promise to entertain, enlighten and empower you with special presentations that will keep you on the right track when you get back home. One Step at a Time will show you how to build walking into a fitness programme that you really can do and will work for you, helping you to plot for good health today, tomorrow and for life. They say you are what you eat so no healthy living schedule is complete without considering the importance of refuelling and Easy, Healthy, Delicious will show you the tastiest ways to achieve this, no more boring salads!
All the activity sessions and presentations will be exclusive to those guests on the Walk To Fitness break.
In addition to our normal packed timetable of indoor, outdoor and pool based classes your exclusive itinerary includes:
- Breakfast served in your room, three course buffet lunch and three course dinner
