In our hectic day-to-day lives, dashing around for loved ones, we try to squeeze every hour out of the day possible, before crashing in to bed, to be woken with the same crazy routine the following day. It has become apparent that me-time (and we don’t mean having a quick cuppa whilst thinking about which room to clean next!!) is quickly becoming a thing of the past! However, if you do stumble across some me-time, we have a few hints and tips for you to turn this precious time into an oasis of tranquillity – without it costing the earth!
Read a magazine or book. We all get drawn to the TV far too easily – and before you know it, you’ve spent two hours watching something, that is of no to interest to you at all!
A lovely warm bath is a fantastic way to unwind, the steam will also open your pores giving you a mini facial too! Why not add a few candles around the edge of your bath for that extra bit of pampering.
Give your skin a treat with a face mask – why not pop some cucumbers on yours eyes too, there’s no one to see you!
Do your nails! Having painted nails gives you an instant boost, it’s quick and easy and you can do it yourself!
A hair mask is really nourishing and conditioning for your hair giving you luscious locks in minutes.
Lie down! Have a cat nap and you will wake feel refreshed and rejuvenated.
Exercise! We don’t mean an hour flat out on the treadmill, just a gentle walk in the great outdoors or a potter around your garden makes you feel full of life and raises the endorphins in your body – best of all, it’s absolutely free!!!
