Has the London Marathon inspired you to take up running?

If so, Ragdale Hall’s Run For It break will set you off on the right foot.  The break which takes place in June is ideal if you’re aiming to take part in next year’s marathon, or fancy taking up running for pleasure and to improve your general fitness.

The course is led by Michelle Read, an experienced fitness instructor, personal trainer and running enthusiast with 19 marathons to her name. You’ll be part of a small group and Michelle will guide you through preparation, post-run techniques and a range of runs.

Over the three day break you’ll take part in a variety of workshops designed to help you minimise injury and prepare your body for training,  get expert advice on the right nutrition, training technique and plan for you, and enjoy a motivational talk with self-help tips, while also taking part in a mix of runs of varying distance and pace. If you are already an experienced runner, Michelle can help you to improve your personal best.

You’ll receive a Ragdale Hall sports water bottle and towel and, because Ragdale Hall is one of the country’s leading health spas, you’ll also enjoy a 40-minute treatment from a selection specially recommended for this break and have full access to all of Ragdale’s facilities, including the multi-million pound Thermal Spa, indoor and outdoor pools, gym, full timetable of fitness classes, and dedicated exercise pool. All meals are an inclusive part of the Thursday to Saturday break – including breakfast in bed.

Participants on Ragdale’s previous running break said: Enjoyed it all – a good balance of technique, stretching and different running sessions’ and ‘Michelle was excellent – friendly and cheerful at all times – enthusiastic, well-informed and encouraging.’

The Run For It break runs from Thursday 4th to Saturday 6th June. To find out more or book your place call 01664 433000 or visit
