The season of running is definitely here, with 5 and 10k runs, half marathons and even marathons taking place around the UK every weekend. So have any of them inspired you to take up running?

Whether you’d like to aim for next year’s London Marathon, your local Park Run, or would just like to take up running for pleasure and to improve your general fitness, the Ragdale Running Break for Beginners in September will set you off on the right foot.

The course is led by Michelle Read, an experienced fitness instructor, personal trainer and running enthusiast with 19 marathons to her name. You’ll be part of a small group and Michelle will guide you through preparation, post-run techniques and a range of runs.

Over the three-day break you’ll take part in a variety of workshops designed to help you minimise injury and prepare your body for training, get expert advice on the right nutrition, training technique and plan for you, and enjoy a motivational talk with self-help tips, while also taking part in a mix of runs of varying distance and pace.

You’ll receive a Ragdale Hall sports water bottle and towel, and enjoy a 40-minute treatment from a selection specially recommended for this break, as well as have full access to all facilities, including the Thermal Spa, indoor and outdoor pools, gym, full timetable of fitness classes, and dedicated exercise pool. All meals are an inclusive part of the Thursday to Saturday break – including breakfast in bed.

Participants on Ragdale’s previous Running Break said: “I enjoyed it all – a good balance of technique, stretching and different running sessions”, and “Michelle was excellent – friendly and cheerful at all times – enthusiastic, well-informed and encouraging.”

Ragdale Hall Running Break for Beginners takes place from Thursday 21st to Saturday 23rd September 2017.
