Ragdale – what the reviews say

Have you ever wondered if the journalists and bloggers who visit Ragdale relax and enjoy the same things here you do?

It’s always interesting to see Ragdale through someone else’s eyes and we’ve put together some of our favourite comments we’ve recently received in reviews which you might not have seen – we hope you enjoy them (and let us know if you agree!)

“Ragdale Hall is, among other things, a kind of water park for adults, with a pool complex that is in a league of its own.”

“The Victorian red-brick mansion has the style of a stately home, but with the best kind of relaxed modern manners.”

“Ragdale knocks spots off many more elite establishments with its facilities, treatments and the warmth and knowledge of its staff.”

 Anna Murphy, The Times online

“Ragdale Hall is extremely popular and, after spending two days there, it became clear why. It’s very good at what it does. The place has a relaxed vibe to it. Who cares if you want to wear your fluffy robe to lunch? Nobody here gives a hoot. It’s rather liberating, really, to float around without a scrap of make up on…”

Karen Connolly – Manchester Evening News

“You do get a sense that Ragdale Hall is really rather posh – with its timber panelling, chandeliers, exquisite wallpapers and textiles – but the atmosphere is so laid back you feel like a welcome friend rather than a paying guest.”

Lisa Clarke, The Sunday Express

“While the running course was extremely helpful in starting my training routine for a half marathon (eek) I’m already hoping to book another break to explore more of the spa itself, which is incredible.”

 Lizzy Dening, Yours online

“Included in our package was a Blissful Face and Back treatment, which included a relaxing back massage followed by a facial. My therapist, (one of 135 at the spa!) asked questions about my skin condition before proceeding with the treatment which was honestly 50 of the most relaxing minutes of my life.”

“Ragdale Hall is all about quality, and the food is no exception”

“Our weekend at Ragdale Hall was probably the most relaxing break I’ve been on. As soon as you arrive you feel settled and looked after, and I definitely intend to plan a return visit.”

 Gemma Ellis, Fitcetera blog

As soon as you walk through the front door of Ragdale you start to relax, your cases are taken to your room & refreshment is offered. I have been a visitor to Ragdale since the 70’s & have never tired of it. In fact there is always something new to see.
    Love, love love it
