Get ready for a new dance-based workout that promises to leave you firmer, slimmer…..and taller!

You will not need to be reminded that Darcey Bussell and her colleagues, are as well known for their beautiful bodies, as their flawless dancing, so imagine the benefits you could see if you dip your toe in the SwanLake and try a ballet influenced workout for yourself.  Now it’s your chance, with the addition of Ballet Toning to the fitness timetable at award winning Leicestershire spa, Ragdale Hall.

Using a ballet barre to support your balance and to enable you to perform moves you might otherwise find impossible, the class takes some simple ballet basics and combines them with traditional fitness toning exercises, to produce a fabulous workout that is guaranteed to sculpt your tummy, legs and bum. The pace may be slow but the intensity is high, as you’ll be challenging your muscles and so helping them to become stronger. The bonus here is that more muscle leads to a higher metabolic rate so you’ll be burning more calories all the time – even when you’re asleep!

The magic ingredient is the use of Pilates exercises to help to tighten the deeper abdominal muscles and to improve posture, literally leading to you standing taller.
