Introducing Holly – the winner of our first ever Student of Excellence Competition

We are delighted to announce Holly Quinn won our first ever Student of Excellence competition, beating off four other hopefuls in the final held on Saturday 23rd April.

Holly, a student at Brooksby Melton College, has secured a part-time Beauty Therapist position with us, along with a comprehensive two-year training plan, a substantial cash bonus after one year in the role, and a spa day at Ragdale!

She said: “It feels amazing to be the winner, it’s such a huge achievement for me and it feels like the hard work from the last two years has paid off. The day itself was very overwhelming with a lot to take in, however the Ragdale staff really put us all at ease – but I did get very nervous during the one-to-one interview.”

The new role will help Holly, 30,  to achieve her lifelong ambition to become a beauty therapist, having taken time to focus on having a family first.

She added: “I can’t wait to begin my career at Ragdale Hall and to expand my knowledge further with the amazing training that is on offer. To work at Ragdale has been my ambition since starting my beauty training, due to its amazing reputation. It really is a dream come true for me and it is still sinking in!”

The five finalists were: Holly Quinn – Brooksby Melton College; Alice Tunnaley – Brooksby Melton College; Jasmine James – Chesterfield College; Thelma Machingauta – Dudley College; Lucy Dodd – Stamford College.
