Let the sun shine

When the sun is shining (and we’re sure we will see it again this summer) why not take the opportunity to experience and explore the great outdoors here at Ragdale Hall? Our range of outdoor activities might surprise you and there are lots of ways to have some fun in the sun. Whether you prefer to be sat in a comfy deckchair looking out onto the calming rolling hills or having a friendly game of pitch ‘n’ putt on the lawn, we have lots to choose from.

How about wandering around our beautiful gardens, taking in the stunning views and admiring the colourful flowers? Or, perhaps you would like to explore a little further afield. There are loads of public footpaths where you can have a leisurely stroll, or you might even like to borrow a bike and helmet and discover local cycle routes. We can even provide you with maps of the routes, or you could opt for a guided walk from our fitness timetable with one of our instructors.

If you’re seeking a bit of light hearted competition with your friends, then you’re not short of options. We’ve got pitch ‘n’ putt, Croquet, Boules and Jenga, which will keep you all entertained for hours. But, if you’re hoping for something a bit more strenuous, you could tighten the laces on your trainers, grab a couple of tennis racquets and balls then practice your serve.  Or, if you fancy discovering something new, our friendly fitness team offer archery and fencing lessons; who knows, this could be the beginning of a new hobby.

When all these activities have worn you out, how about winding down by fetching a gripping book and a super smoothie from our Verandah Bar then losing a couple of hours nestled in the Cacoon?  You could also enjoy your well-deserved rest by having a snooze on a comfy sun lounger on our Pavilion decking or by the outdoor heated pool feeling the sun beating down on your face. The best of it is you can do all of this in the comfort of your white fluffy robe.

Don’t forget, whatever you decide to do in our picturesque grounds, remember to take some fun photos and share them with us on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram page.

Hope I get some of that sunshine in September. Is the new infinity pool ready for opening yet?
