At Ragdale Hall Spa, we’re all about creating experiences and helping our guests make memories to last a lifetime. This summer, we launched the Ragdale Summer Bucket List competition to help guests make the most out of their visit to Ragdale Hall. This list features special moments from afternoon tea and breakfast in bed to experiencing the Rooftop Infinity Pool at sunset (did you know our Thermal Spa and Rooftop Infinity Pool is open until 10pm daily?!) and trying out our heat and water experiences.

A bucket list, also known as a life list, is essentially a list of things you want to experience or accomplish in your life. These are great to help you find focus and realign what exactly it is you want to achieve so you can get the most fulfilment out of life.

So why not create your own bucket list like ours?

Here’s a few tips and pointers to help you get started!

  1. Name your bucket list

Decide what you want to call your bucket list – this could be a themed list, whether that’s seasonal, age related or travel. E.g. ‘things to do before you reach 50’. This can help to guide what you put in your list.

  1. Brainstorm ideas

Find somewhere that inspires you and sit down and brainstorm a few ideas of what you want to achieve or experience. Once you have got a few ideas, turn this into a list to check off.

  1. Be realistic, but also push yourself

Be sure to make your goals realistic and achievable but have a couple that push you out of your comfort zone – that’s the beauty of a bucket list! Whether that’s to combat your fear of heights through a skydive or bungee jump or learn how to play the piano.

  1. Include a mixture of short and long-term goals

Keep yourself on your toes with a mixture of short and long-term goals. This way, you will find more reward in ticking off those short-term goals and keeps your list manageable while helping you strive towards those long-term goals.

  1. Prioritise three goals

To avoid feeling overwhelmed by your list – keep your focus and prioritise three goals to achieve first.

  1. Add to it over time

Your list doesn’t have to be complete straight away. The beauty of a bucket list is being able to add to it as you start to experience things and want to do more. It is a good idea to share your list with family and friends so you can get more ideas and feel inspired to achieve your goals.
