Indian Head Massage

This is a combination of stroking, kneading, friction, percussion and pressure point techniques either with or without the use of selected aromatic oils. La Stone Therapy

La Stone Therapy combines water heated basalt lava stones, marble cold stones and traditional massage techniques. Lava Shell Back Treatment

MOT Massage

This customised, full body oil massage uses many different approached from around the world, combined witht eh skill and knowlege of Ragdale's own Massage Specialist, Danny Allman.  Deep tissue and remedial massage techniques are used along with various muscular release movements to loosen all muscles, increase joint mobility and fight postural aches and pains.  Stretches are applied whilst another part of the body is massaged; this enables a long deep stretch to be held when it may otherwise be uncomfortable.  This therapy delivers a firm, flowing and rhythmical massage great for pure therapeutic relaxation, whilst actively working with your body to release localised and specific problem areas.  It is very different to traditional sports or remedial therapy as it treats the full body and the localised challenges as one.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a traditional hands–on Japanese healing therapy. It can help in a wide range of conditions – from specific injuries to more general symptoms of poor health. The philosophy underlying Shiatsu is that vital energy (known as KI in Japanese) flows throughout the body in a series of channels called meridians. For many different reasons KI can stop flowing freely and this then produces a symptom.

Jon Jarvis our highly experienced Shiatsu Practitioner will consider your state of health, the symptoms you are experiencing and, depending on your constitution and general energy levels, will use a variety of techniques to improve your energy flow. Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing experience and would be recommended as a one off to relieve a symptom or more regularly to help prevent the build up of stress and energy blockages. A combination of the original “La Stone” therapy and Reflexology. 

The La Stone Therapy uses hot and cold stones to deliver a deeply therapeutic, grounding and cleansing massage. Reflexology works on the principle that the body is divided up into 10 zones and these zones are reflected on the feet. The highly trained and talented therapist, Felicia Bottomley, works with Meridians, Auric fields and Crystals to balance the Chakras, thus leaving the body calm and in harmony and the energy systems revived. This is a 115 minute treatment.

Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy

Pre-booking is essential

This treatment is designed to treat aches, stiffness and injuries which stem from postural and occupational stress as well as sport. The experienced male practitioners will use manipulative and deep tissue techniques to help relax, stretch and strengthen muscles allowing both muscles and joints to regain their function. Helpful advice will be given to those individuals experiencing difficulties with problematic areas.

NB: As with all deep tissues massage there may be some soreness or discomfort during or after your treatment. To administer remedial therapy for injuries, a medical practitioner must have first made a diagnosis of that injury. This is a 50 minute treatment.

Tension Release Scalp Therapy

A relaxing scalp massage using some pressure point work to relieve tension over the scalp. An essential oil blend is used to enhance the effectiveness. This is a 25 minute treatment.

Thai Massage

Our talented male massage therapists combine the therapeutic benefits of massage and yoga based exercise, every joint is mobilised and every muscle stretched. This makes Thai massage ideal for de-stressing the body and calming the mind, the result – a state of total wellbeing.

Tranquility Massage
