Laura - Clarins Account Executive

I am originally from Norfolk and grew up there, my interests were horse riding as well as skincare and make up. I chose Beauty Therapy as my career, although horse riding is still a hobby of mine along with shopping (not at the same time!).

I studied for two years as a Beauty Therapist and once qualified I came to work at Ragdale Hall. I have now been here for over 10 years. I first began as a Beauty Therapist, training in many of the product ranges and treatments.

Clarins has always been a passion of mine, I love the way the products and treatments make the skin look and feel.

Using the Clarins touch and results driven products, Clarins treatments leave guests feeling as though they are walking on air.

Five years ago I was promoted to Clarins Account Executive. My role includes carrying out treatments, product and treatment training, stock control for the salon and developing the account. Each month I also work as part of the Beauty Shop Team leading the Clarins promotions, hosting evening talks and demonstrations.

My role is exciting and I love to see new Clarins product and treatment launches.

I’m passionate about my job and enjoy recommending products and passing on my knowledge of products to guests and country club members. I find making guests at Ragdale look and feel great about themselves very rewarding.

I have worked at Ragdale Hall for 11 years. Ragdale Hall is an amazing place to work. It is a warm, welcoming and friendly environment. Over the years I have seen Ragdale grow and blossom into the multi award winning spa we all love and know.

I studied Beauty Therapy 13 years ago and chose to do my 2 weeks work experience here at Ragdale Hall. It was then I was offered my job, I was very excited.

I am trained and work with Elemis, Clarins, Decleor, Spa Find, B-Line, Leighton Denny and LI’TYA.

LI’TYA is my favourite to work with. It is an Australian range inspired by Aborigines. What makes it unique is that it is very natural and organic, using natural plans, flowers, fruits, sea plants and desert salts. Jo – Decleor Account Therapist

I joined Ragdale Hall in 2008 as a Senior Beauty Therapist, providing a wide range of treatments from all product houses including, Decleor, Clarins, Li’Tya and Leighton Denny.

Decleor is my favourite skincare company both to use personally and professionally, so after two and a half years at Ragdale Hall I progressed to the role of Decleor Account Therapist, allowing me to promote the company and specialise in my favourite treatments.

I have used Decleor products on my own skin with great results for many years after being introduced to them whilst visiting Ragdale Hall as a guest in 2004. For me, what makes Decleor stand out from the other ranges is their use of essential oils as they not only give the products a lovely aroma but are proven to treat every layer of the skin. This means that they can penetrate to where new skin cells are being created and treat a skin concern at the route of the problem.

Jenifer - Holistic treatments with Ragdale’s Holistic Therapist of the Year 2009 & 2010

I began working at Ragdale Hall as a therapist in 2002, offering a range of beauty treatments. However I have always had a great passion for holistic therapies.

In 1998 I began my journey in Reiki which I practiced on my family, friends and myself. Reiki is Japanese for ‘Universal Life Energy’. It opens the mind to the body’s ability to heal itself.

In 2001 I became a Reiki master/teacher and decided to teach Reiki seven years ago.

Reiki has helped open my mind to lots of different beliefs and alternative therapies from over the world. I am currently studying colour therapy and have developed my own treatment called Chakra Silks. This is a combination of Colour Therapy and Reiki to restore balance and bring deep harmony to the mind and body. Colour Therapy is a totally holistic and non invasive therapy and is one of the oldest forms of healing, dating back thousands of years! I also created Chakra Guidance.

David - Senior Holistic Therapist

I am still here after 10 years! It is a real testament to a very special place. I spent many relaxing weekends here lounging by the pool in the 60’s and 70’s before it became what it is today ‘Ragdale Hall Health Hydro and Thermal Spa’.

I have seen many changes at Ragdale especially the popularity of holistic therapies.

I started here as a massage therapist and gradually worked towards becoming a well established complementary therapist. Eight years ago I studied Reiki and went onto become a Reiki master. Reiki is a Japanese word meaning ‘Universal Life Energy’. It opens the mind to the causes of disease and pain, reinforces the body’s ability to heal itself, stress is released and there is a feeling of deep relaxation.

I am committed to holistic therapies having seen their results over the years. This has given me a great passion for delivering excellent treatments and a high level of customer service. I went on to study La Stone Therapy and Chirotherapy.

La Stone Therapy
Heated basalt lava stones and cold marble stones are used to massage the body, creating a feeling of warmth and comfort. A deeply relaxing and totally indulgent experience.

Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese word representing Universal Life Energy (Rei = universal, Ki = life force energy which flows through all living beings). It opens the mind to the causes of disease and pain and reinforces the body’s ability to heal itself. It supports and enhances all medical or complementary treatments. A Reiki treatment is a hands-on treatment; the person receiving Reiki lies fully clothed while the practitioner’s hands rest gently over various areas of the body for a few minutes at a time in each position. It is a safe and re-assuring treatment - stress is released and there is a feeling of deep relaxation.

Lisa - Holistic Therapist

My original career path lead me into banking, however after 17 years, I decided to take a career break. I enrolled onto an intensive massage course and I grew to have a keen interest in holistic therapies too.

I have been here at Ragdale Hall since February 2004, pursuing my career as a massage therapist. I carried out massage and body treatments initially, but soon developed an interest in holistic therapies.

In 2005 I trained in Reiki with Ragdale’s very own Sarah Hardy, who, in her own time has achieved a Reiki Master status. I didn’t stop there, as I went on to study Reflexology and Human Nutrition.

Reiki

Reiki is a hands-on treatment - you lie fully clothed, while the practitioners hands gently rest over various areas of the body. It is a safe re-assuring treatment – stress is released and there is a feeling of deep relaxation.

Tranquility Massage

Let your body and mind relax as you experience the healing benefits of Reiki working in harmony with a flowing head to toe massage. As the Reiki works to bring balance to the chakra energies, the medium pressure massage, using essential oils of lavender, chamomile and mandarin, will soothe the senses.

Body Balancing

This treatment commences with breathing exercises, foot massage and pressure points followed by light rhythmic massage movements to the shoulders, scalp, face and neck. It concludes with a gentle healing and cleansing of the aura.

Jon - Senior Massage Therapist

My original career path lead me to become a fitness professional, presenting various fitness classes, offer swimming lessons and personal training lessons. I started working at Ragdale 9 years ago as a holistic therapist. Working at Ragdale opened up a world of opportunities in the Fitness and Treatments department. I soon adopted the desire to study massage and complimentary therapies.

Shiatsu is my speciality treatment and I am recognised as highly experienced practitioner offering Shiatsu at Ragdale hall. I can help with a wide range of specific injuries, to more general symptoms of poor health using traditional Japanese healing therapy techniques. Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing experience and I would recommend it as a one off to relieve a symptom or more regularly to help prevent the build up of stress and energy blockages.

I joined Ragdale Hall in 2004, fresh out of college and full of enthusiasm. Seven years later I am still as passionate about my job as I was then. I started Ragdale as a Beauty Therapist carrying out a wide range of treatments from all product houses including Elemis, Clarins, Decleor and Leighton Denny. Now I am the Elemis Account Development Therapist.

Theresa - Senior Beauty Therapist

My journey began at Ragdale Hall 9 years ago as a 'massage therapist' progressing into beauty therapy. I have a great passion for my work and always like to learn something new.

My two dearest specialised treatments are Balinese Massage and Lomi Lomi (Hawaiian Massage).

Balinese Massage - this I feel is an unforgettable journey to clear blocked energies, soothe and rebalance the mind, and is effectively healing for the whole body.

Lomi Lomi (Hawaiian Massage) - this is a beautiful flowing, long sweeping, gentle stretch and kneading massage. A really wonderful treatment.
