Make It Happen 2011
For the seventh year running we have joined forces with The Melton Times to give local good causes the chance to apply for part of £10,000 we have allocated to try and help the local community.
From a total of 40 applications, Ragdale’s staff chose 21 local groups to be recipients of a share of the community chest. Over the last seven years, we have given a total of over £72,000 to a wide variety of local groups, giving them the chance to ‘Make it Happen’. Kylie Pentelow, BBC East Midlands news presenter and Ragdale regular presented the cheques.
This year the money went to:
- Melton Mowbray Child Contact Centre
- St John Ambulance
- Melton Baptist Church
- Shopmobility Melton
- Friends at Melton
- Melton Learning Hub
- Voluntary Action Melton’s gardening scheme
- Dove Cottage Day Hospice
